Dr. La Porta is a great physician who helped me a lot. She was a real lifeline during the pandemic and is very kind and knowledgeable and responsive. I highly recommend her!
I did not find much value in my meetings with Dr. La Porta. Her suggestions struck me as tone-deaf and trivial. It seemed like she was following a generic logic tree. She ruled out certain types of medicine because of her personal bias against them. In the end, I left her practice feeling no better than my first visit. Dr. La Porta might be a good fit for children, but if you would like for your condition to be taken seriously, I strongly recommend that you see a different psychiatrist.
