To bad it isn't as good as it smells
Service was amazing! Had the fish and chips for $5.95. We got more food than expected and it was perfect!
Good food-not great. Friendly staff overall and we come back often. Good food for the price and a nice, hometown feel.
The food is delicious and the building, rebuilt after burning to the ground, is airy and comfortable. They love kids and visitors, and kids love the cartoon characters and fun gift shop (stuffed parrot fish for your wall? anyone?). The restaurant name is based on a children's story set in India and has nothing to do with American history at all, so it's a little sad that our waves of uninformed tourists can get the wrong impression. Wish they'd gone ahead and changed the entire Restaurant name rather than just dropping the overt non-PC part. Anyway, they serve typical pancake house fare. Mostly known for breakfast, which is decent if you like that American IHOP kind of food.
Try their breakfasts. What a way to start the day. The food is great!
