This review is for a phenomenal employee: I took my mom to the E.R. Yesterday and was lucky enough to encounter a nurse named Joenelle K. All I can say is he was absolutely outstanding from the moment we approached the front desk. He was welcoming, kind, empathetic, professional, and most importantly, swift in checking my mom in who was suffering from dehydration.
the unacceptable and unsafe treatment I received during my visit to this emergency department today. I was placed in a dirty room with visible blood on the floor. I waited in the back for over two hours without so much as a greeting or introduction from any staff member, including a nurse. I have osteomyelitis and possible sepsis, yet I was left sitting there in severe pain without any assessment, monitoring, or basic concern for my condition. Unfortunately went there with my moms nose bleeding. Got there before 7 am. Nurse pinched her nose supposedly for 15 min observation, but they didn’t remove for more than 2 hours. After nurse checked with one doctor and said leave for another 15 min, even nurse told the doctor it stayed there long time. Nurse came after another 2 hours and put balloon to stop bleeding. Left with the same problem I went in with after being there for over 8 hours. Took two hours for intake. After another hour a nurse took my blood and vitals. Doctor comes in to talk to me. He lets me know that my migraine could be hormones or a brain aneurysm. I am 13 weeks pregnant. I agreed to get a cat scan that can negatively impact my pregnancy because they tell me if it's an anyurism I'd have about a week until it bursts. I'm informed it'll be an hour wait.
