The motel was very, very old and all of the rooms had an old, musty, moldy smell. The upstairs "suite" had bulbs burned out that the staff was unable to replace because they couldn't get the fixture off. You had to go up steep stairs in the dark to get to the room. The bathrooms didn't look like they had ever been cleaned and the shower, sink and toilet were badly stained and had rust marks.
