I went there in March to have my IUD replaced because the old one had expired. I happened to be on my period that day, and Rosa Anaya, FNP, attended to me mentioned that it was actually more convenient to perform the replacement during menstruation. However, she asked me to take a urine test first. I questioned why a urine test was necessary given that I was menstruating—which confirmed I wasn't pregnant—but she insisted to do it.
