I joined Lifestyle Medicine Options in July 2020. My primary physician had found that I was prediabetic, overweight, with high blood pressure and cholesterol. He wanted to put me on statins. Dr. Baila through his virtual classes showed me how to address these health issues by simply eating nutritious foods and exercising. Lifestyle medicine had an tremendous impact on my life. Dr. Baila is an amazing doctor, coach and mentor. Lifestyle Medicine Options and the excellent education and ongoing motivation support from it are making a remarkable difference in my life. I am finally beginning to make some measurable changes in my life and in my health, after years of failing to do so. I highly recommend bothe the CHIP and LIFT programs, and the Diabetes Prevention program as well.
When I started this program, mentored by Dr. Baila, I was under the impression it will be a way for me to loose weight by following a certain diet. Whaaat!? It is so,so, so much more than that! This is the most common-sense approach to health we have ever been involved in. It is a hopeful outlook because many chronic diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes type 2, etc. are really reversible with lifestyle choices that will usually allow the student to be rid of his/her medicine(s) and go on to live life feeling good or even great.
