Amalia was my NLS instructor and honestly, she’s the best. She really cares if you pass and know your stuff. She keeps it real and doesn’t let you slack, but she’s also super helpful. I think my experience was so amazing because of her specifically! I hope other people get the chance to have her too!
I just completed my NLS training with the lifeguarding academy at ryerson pool, and I can say with full certainty that the course, along with my incredible instructor, Amalia, has definitely prepared me for my future in lifeguarding. Amalia was very kind, knowledgeable, and very understanding and made the course very engaging and presented new information in a very easy to understand way. The lifeguarding academy, along with Amalia, did an amazing job at teaching this course.
Lifeguarding academy was an amazing and educating experience. My instructor Shelby was particularly informative and helpful as she thoroughly explained every topic thoroughly which made the course so much more enjoyable and understandable.
Shelby was an absolutely amazing NLS instructor! She was professional, knowledgeable, and made the entire course engaging from start to finish. Her clear communication, patience, and real-world examples helped me feel confident and prepared. She created a supportive learning environment where everyone felt comfortable asking questions and participating. You can tell she truly cares about her students and takes pride in what she does. I had such an amazing experience at Lifeguarding Academy, and I can’t say enough good things about my instructor, Amalia Toner!!
