Everyone here makes donation such a pleasant experience. I come here every two weeks so have been acquainted with a lot of the customer-facing staff. They do a brilliant job and their work is never not appreciated by the donors. Special mention to Jackie at reception and Maryam, one of the nursing assistants, and all of the volunteers I have met. Brilliant donation centre, I thought with it being in the city it might be a bit more rushed but no, the staff were all amazing. Free parking if you enter the St Andrew's House Car Park - just bring your parking ticket in and they’ll validate it to make it free. The food on offer after donating was also the best I’ve seen yet! 👏
Lovely and accommodating staff, very comfortable environment. Also lots of snacks for when you are finished!
I’ve donated blood at the Town Hall Donor Centre twice now and each time have felt extremely looked after and welcome. In my most recent visit I had the amazing Maryam and David take care of me and can I just say that both of them made my experience the best that it could be. David made me laugh and Maryam chatted with me whilst I was giving the blood, also offering a beverage to me. She’s too sweet!! Shout out to David, James and Mel - they were all so lovely and made donating an even more fun and enjoyable experience. Massive props to the staff there and the work they are doing. Other than me nearly passing out at the end (they were all attentive and reassuring), it was smooth sailing and would highly recommend anyone donate here when they can.
