I've been training with Matthew English who is a trainer there for almost 4 months now. I am definitely seeing strength, size and growth from his programs. Even when I'm not in the gym and just need diet advice he helps too without hesitation. Matt is a very kind and knowledgeable guy who wants his clients to not just succeed but thrive physically and mentally. He'll go above and beyond for you no doubt. Similar to the Austin Arboretum location, this appears to be a repurposed facility, likely inherited from a lower-tier gym brand. While the location near Whole Foods HQ downtown is convenient, the overall offerings feel worn and increasingly neglected. The staff is consistently helpful, but the physical space is overdue for a full refurbish. At its current state, the local upgrade isn’t justified. Amazing trainers downtown. The manager Tim is very intentional in creating an awesome environment, particularly around training. I was lucky to work with JP. He is tremendously knowledgeable and passionate about his craft. Anyone who trains with him will learn, have fun, and get stronger.

Life Time Downtown is truly top-tier. The club is always spotless, the floors are so clean you could practically eat off them. The team is welcoming, the energy is great, and every visit feels like a luxury experience. Easily my favorite gym in Austin.
