I normally go to Lifetime in Highland Park. I came to this location on Thanksgiving, called ahead of time about hours. Nothing was mentioned about the facilities and showers being closed 30 minutes before the club closes. I took Yoga Sol. The second I stepped out the door they made an announcement that the showers will be closing in 15 minutes. The teacher saw my anxiety and re assured me everything would be ok. I RAN to the showers. I am extremely grateful for the staff at Crosstown for taking such great care of me when I experienced a medical emergency. Everyone was comforting, professional, and knew exactly what to do. From the bottom of my heart- THANK YOU.
Considering joining Life Time? Be forewarned: Their fake marketing photos are *nothing* like the reality of the club. It’s more like a used car dealership — including the slimy, rude staff. Here’s what it’s *really* like: 1. Dirty equipment (you can wipe a paper towel across barbells and dumbbells and pick up lots of black, gross dirt) 2. Over the past 3 months there have been constant closures or facilities not being available for members. Not worth the premium price for such a disappointing experience
