I’ve had a great experience at Life Time Fitness in Folsom. The facility is clean, modern, and well maintained, and it really feels like more than just a gym. The equipment, classes, locker rooms, and overall environment make it easy to stay consistent with health and fitness. We had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience with Life Time Fitness and cancelled immediately after signing up. We committed to a $369/month membership, completed sign-up, paid the prorated rate for the remainder of the month, downloaded our membership cards, and came in for our first visit—only to then be told we needed specific documents (like a lease or utilities in both names) to keep two adults on the membership. First the gym has objectively the oldest equipment in all of Folsom. Second the cables adjustment are not lubricated whatsoever for 250 a Month.....Third the hiring process is a mixture of high school and a weird Hollywood humiliation ritual. 4th each correspondence takes 12-24 hours to answer a simple text message.

This gym is beautiful. My son also attends swimming lessons here. What we really loved was the separate locker room for families with showers and lockers. Before swimming lessons the last few weeks, almost every single time we go in there, there’s a man in there by himself without a child. It says directly on the door, “This locker room is for an adult with a child” I’ve alerted the staff but it just continues to keep happening.
