Shawna seemed inconvenienced by our appointment, and was very condescening towards us. Every time we would try to ask a question or answer her questions she would interrupt and say things like "I'm the tax person here, I would know that". I've never been treated so rudely by a "professional" in my life. Was unable to provide a schedule of fees so our end bill was a total surprise - all she would say is each document and addition would have a fee. I am accountant who has been doing this for 30 years. This office just tried to charge my newest client a 25 dollar fee to mail their previous tax return to them. Being as it is only 4 to 6 pages and the cost of a stamp and CRA will mail it to you for free. This is a ripe off. I highly recommend seeking another accountant to file your taxes for if they are ripping off clients for mailing taxes to them they are ripping clients off by doing their taxes as well. Had booked an appointment to see the CPA due to a more difficult return. Came for appointment to be told we’d have to wait as a few walk ins came before us and “they do both walk in and by appointment” okay- so I mentioned we needed to see the CPA not a basic tax return person. I get told it’s her day off don’t know why you’d have an appt with her today. Not once did she check her computer to see who we were.
