We went to Liberty to use a professional as we had moving expenses to claim and a few other things that made our taxes complicated. They were open limited hours, which was understandable given it was past tax season. It took a few weeks but we were initially fairly satisfied with the service. We were told they would hold our receipts and everything incase the government wanted copies. They did my husband's taxes all wrong, then actually gave us another person's file to take home. It could have gone horribly wrong for this person if it was given to someone else with all his info in it.
Liberty tax charged me 330.75 to do this year and last. I even brought it in early on the 30th of April and still charged me late fee. (That was his claim even though the receipt had no explanation of high charges) My taxes are basic..single no kids. Def do not recommend! When I questioned the cost he told me what does it matter, your getting a good return?? Unbelievable! I'll do myself next year!
Would give zero stars if I could. They charge inconsistent prices and won’t give a breakdown of where these charges came from. My taxes are simple at it cost me $383. Absolutely zero customer service skills. I’ve been filing there since 2020 and will never go back.
