Very disappointed. Hotel could be great, but is not properly maintained. A/C feels like one of those water coolers - very humid and barely cool. Phones don't work, plugs broken, window treatments broken, windows filthy, sheets very low quality, low shower pressure, no coffee pot in room. Apathetic staff.
Such potential! I bet this place was lovely after they remodeled in 2009 but unfortunately they haven’t kept up with it since. With proper cleaning and an update on linens and drapes I would give it 5 star. I found trash in my room, a hair on the bed, dust throughout (even the tables in the lobby). They could have a proper coffee bar and brunch to bring in business from locals. I hope they invest in some maintenance because it could truly be a gem.
I have stayed at this hotel many times and it is beautiful. But new management is cheaping out. It is still lovely and the furnishing high quality... But the front door, main elevator, and the pool were all out of order. And the breakfast was not what it used to be. Toast with no butter? I hope the new management wakes up and does better.
