Nice hotel and great price for the stay. Great location in middle of town within walking distance to shopping and good restaurants. If you like old historic hotels, this is a place to stay. I did not give it 5 stars because the in-room safes were not working. Continental breakfast is nothing to get up for. Our Place restaurant next door is the place to go for breakfast. But I would stay here again.

Since the current owners took over ,the place has really gone down hill . We come to Cleburne often to go to Plaza Theater but we will not be staying at Liberty again !

I rarely ever write negative reviews, but I had such a disappointing experience at this hotel that, after reading some of the other reviews, I felt it was important to share what happened. I was traveling from out of town for my grandmother’s funeral. When booking through Expedia, I accidentally selected the wrong dates at the end of the month. Although we had no complaints THEN, we did have a billing issue a week later. Our card was charged for the stay a week after checkout. We spent the whole day calling the hotell and got nothing but a busytone. This place is very hard to get a hold of anyone. We sent countless emails and still have not heard anything back. Due to no contact we had to cancel our card and was an inconvenience. Sadly, we will not recommend.
