Built in 1936 the Liberty theater was the place to be on the downtown square in Tyler, TX. It was the hub of entertainment until it closed in the mid 1980s. The City of Tyler purchased the Liberty in 2009 and rehabbed the facility. The City raised more that one million dollars in private donations to fund this stunning renovation. Wonderful experience listening to old school country music!
I purchased tickets to see Doug Stone at Liberty Hall and was really looking forward to the concert. Unfortunately, I showed up on the night of the event only to find a sign on the door saying it had been rescheduled — with no prior notice or communication whatsoever. There were several other people who showed up just as confused and frustrated as I was. No email, no phone call, no update… nothing to let us know the concert had been canceled or moved.
