Great place to stop on the way up to Ithaca college
This is probably the best diner in Sullivan County. The only thing which I found to be a little unusual was that the bread pudding had no sugar. Then the owner stated, "bread pudding is a custard. It HAS no sugar." This is a first. It is true that bread pudding is a custard, but it is also a dessert. It is generally not a 'savory' dish. However, this would not stop me from going back. Maybe, next time I'd try their pie or cake. The main dish was fine and waitresses were pleasant.
Nick, Helen and Irene, I want to thank you and all your staff for making feel at home from the first time I came in for a breakfast in the middle of Sept., 2012. It isn't often in life when a person is made to feel a part of a new community. However, you did that and I will always be grateful to all of you for making me feel at home. Family owned and operated. Love the hometown feeling! Food is Great!!! My husband loves the Burgers and Shakes. I Love the fresh greens and fixings on the Salad Bar! All you can eat soup as well. Steaks, Chicken, Chops, wraps ALWAYS Fresh and of course, Service is ALWAYS with a SMILE!!! :)
Good food and owners are great. To bad it is 1,118 miles away.
