First time eating here. I told them that, and expected they might let me and my friend know about the specials. Unfortunately they didn't. I had the Pot Roast Soup, and it was wonderful. full of flavor and tender pot roast. The server was friendly but not very attentive. will I go back? YES.. got to try the Pot Roast Sandwich

I'm losing patience with the dysfunction of the new location. It still holds some charm. But without consistent service and food, it's no longer our favorite. It seems like this is the training location, but I never see any repeat staff on subsequent visits, which was a huge part of liberty's appeal on Josephine St. That said, the Manhattan was delicious but the crab cakes were a crime... Wonderful staff, so friendly, lovely atmosphere. We really enjoyed our food. There was a festival in the neighborhood with no street parking. There was a parking lot at Liberty Bar so that made us happy too.
Excellent menu and a very friendly atmosphere. The building is an old convent and very unique. The service is also very good. A definite must visit San Antonio restaurant.
Not "a bar", it's a scratch kitchen restaurant with a wide variety of options from steak to vegetarian.
