Everything was perfect
Both the NP, Haena Bryant and of course, Dr. Ryan were excellent. Haena was very thorough, going over possible symptoms of the aneurysm being an issue. Haena listened to Jerry's heart and heard an irregular heart beat which was confirmed by the EKG. And she followed up with our local cardiologist by contacting his office to get concurrence on what she was recommending to do. She also made copies of the visit summary to give to the cardiologist. Dr Ryan is the best! He laid out the course for the surgery and an answered on my questions on the risk and prognosis. Couldn't ask for a better surgeon.!
Dr. Ryan literally saved my father’s life. My dad at 88 was diagnosed with a type A aortic dissection. This was an unfortunate rare complication of a valve replacement surgery done at an outside hospital several days earlier. 100% mortality rate if untreated. As a physician myself (and with two physician siblings as well) we knew that chance of successful surgery was not the greatest given his age and condition. Dr Ryan was the Surgen who got stuck doing my second valve replacement in four years. The surgery Dr. Ryan did was very difficult and lasted hours longer than expected, there were complications afterwards due to the severity of my condition when I went in. However, thru it all Dr Ryan and his team work effortlessly and tirelessly to make sure I recovered physically, spiritually, and emotionally from this ordeal. He was always very polite caring and knowledgable. I would highly recommend him
