Our LGI home is 21 months old. Heartache and headaches. Poor quality, bad sales and construction process. Visit the BBB site and read about LGI. LGI offers their preferred lender for a lower rate, claiming to “own the lender.” False. LGI Mortgage Solutions is a joint venture with Loan Depot. They simply buy down points on the mortgage. This buy-down has a time limit of 90 days. To “lock in the rate” you have to pay for extensions. We had to extend. It grew to $2500 and two months behind. Dayron is the best home seller and helps you with the entire process!
LGI Buyers beware! We have to pay $15K to replace the poorly installed Shaw “luxury” vinyl flooring installed in.our home in June 2021. The floor started breaking apart and coming up in Year #2 after the 1 year builder warranty was up. LGI North Port and Shaw flooring gave me the run around and stopped communicating with me about the floor defects so I had no choice but to replace the floors on my own. Turns out LGI NEVER installed a moisture barrier under the flooring which is a No No in Florida.
Attempted to purchase a home through LGI. Put down a deposit and was given a closing date 30 days out. Went through house and made a punch list of things that needed to be fixed. Walked through a few days prior to closing and nothing done . Crappy communication from builder . Walk away from deal .
