I went to Lexus Escondido today, and the sales guy named **** was trying to rob me by giving me a very low trade in value at 22 thousand, he never inspected the car, he just low valued my trade in from the start. I purchased a used Lexus RX 350 and was told it had new tires. I have driven ***** miles and surprisingly need new ones, so I checked the information on the tires and found that 3 tires have size R18 wheels and one tire has R19 size. took 2022 is350 fsport to get looked at because we came off a steep driveway and scraped a little on the driver side underneath bumper. Saw that the gap changed and was a "little" off thats what the double photo shows. We bring car in. As we are being checked in valet or whoever it was with iPad asked what we were in for. Mediocre legacy dealer (at best). Purchased ~$65k used vehicle from them (2017 LX 570). We are from out-of-state and did not negotiate on price- we paid their asking price + taxes & fees. When we received the vehicle, it was extremely squirrely at highway speeds (to the point of being dangerous)- tires found to be at tread wear bars. Beware when buying a new car!!! I purchased the RX 350 and agreed to pay $52,500.00. I signed the documents, they had a new computer signing process. Well, the next day I went on vacation and when I came back I got my bill and the balance was a lot higher than what I had agreed. I traded my car which was paid off and also gave an additional $2,000 down payment. Well, when I check the numbers, they had added 2 things on top of the $52,500 amount. People beware!!!!! I took car in for a engine light situation and ended up having it resolved. But once i left within 10 miles the car is smoking and people are pointing at me. so i get off freeway and call Lexus and get nothing but a run around and ended up waiting for an hour to hear back. when they do call back they tow the car back and low and behold my alternator was acting up. anyone else suspious yet??? Thank you for your feedback. Upon research we have discovered the following: Vehicle arrived on 1/5/21, 166k miles, 2007 IS 250 with a check engine light which was a very minor repair of the vacuum valve on top of the engine. The subsequent alternator failure was completely unrelated and not in the same area. As goodwill we paid the tow bill, gave 20% off the charges, and used a LEXUS remanufactured factory alternator with the appropriate warranty.
