BEWAREManagement should have been aware Schmechel is an incompetent arrogant "provider" and danger to the community. In 13 min telemed appointment being interrupted by his contractor's call, hearing about his cancer, negotiations with LexMed Center, he misdiagnosed me with Parkinson and withheld information he had in his possession since Dec 2019 the radiologist recommended a followup for nodules discovered on MRI. Thank goodness for leaving state for second opinion and learning 10 mo later about nodules, which just were biopsied today 10/15/20. Thank you SE Neurology for allowing this provider to put me through hell!

The stigma against people with mental health from Dr Linke is outstandingly gross. II am a cognitive science student and even I know that I am having more problems than just conversion disorder, to which Dr. Linke said he can't help me and I needed to literally accept the fact that I have it. While i accept that I have PTSD and some conversion disorder there is much more happening. I faint, I get these electrical shock feelings, and either my legs come out from under me and I fall or I drop whatever is in my hands. I have a squeezing sensation in my rib cage and I thrash about even in my sleep. I see shadows out the corner of my eyes to which a former dr diagnosed me with schizophrenia and DID and bipolar however my mental health doctor insists no and I have seen her for 3 years every 2 weeks and she insists it is neurological problems. I have been to 3 other neurologists as well and this dr was my only hope for real help and he totally would not listen to me and condemned me to even worse mental illness problems that I know I don't have as well as my psychiatrist insists I do NOT have. The medical personnel in this state is discriminating against those with mental illness Dr. Linke literally said its all in my head and I have to accept it. I do understand nothing is showing in test however I do not think they are looking deep enough he also straight up lied to me when he said a traumatic brain injury would show on tests when it does not all the time I was severely abused by my ex-husband where he would punch me continuously in my head to hide bruises and I can't tell you how many times I had concussions. The only way they can detect constant concussions is in death with an autopsy. Its the same for boxers and football players. I am writing this review so maybe I can finally be heard and treated with respect instead of being treated as a crazy little child. I do shake badly when angry I did in his office but most of the time I have those incidents when I am at rest. So while conversion disorder may be a small factor it is not all. My hands while sometimes go in the opposite direction than I want them to, I have constant ringing in my ears and constant migraines and headaches.I have neuropathy in my legs and no one knows why. I lose words, I can see the word but I can't say it. I get my right and left directions mixed up constantly. My vision fade in and out. I can't stand temperature change. Do you hear me now Doctor, maybe this review will bring me the help I so desperatly need.
