The hospital is excellent unless you have to have outpatient surgery in the South wing. The waiting area for family is a joke. They have a TV board, with patient progress through system, but no one gives you the number to follow the patient. It was a ongoing joke with the other family members in the room. We all were guessing based on the DR assigned. My spouse had two outpatient procedures at MUSC, and what a difference. The South Wing looks like an underfunded veterinary clinic from the 1980's.
