Took my dad today as a new patient. He was very thorough and answered all our questions and concerns. Very nice guy.
I came in as someone with a rare disease, hopeful to get better care and set up for tests now that I have a diagnosis. He came in defensive, dismissive, and unhelpful. I've had plenty of doctors who get paid for not being of any help, and I won't return. The medical field has got to do better when it comes to those if us rare breeds. When you hear hoof beats, stop thinking horses and recognize zebras.
