I had colon resection surgery on August 20th. Dr. Amanda Reese was my surgeon. I went for my two week check up today. She is a fantastic surgeon and my recovery is just as she said it would be. I would definitely recommend Dr. Reese for any general surgery needs that one might have. Her office staff is very helpful and nice.

Dr. Reece and the team at LewisGale Physicians General Surgery are amazing. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and effective. It does not take forever to get an appointment and they get the problem solved. I feel like I’m in great hands and I’m thankful to be a patient there!
The nurses were approachable, nice, and willing to listen to me. Lillian was wonderful, explained everything and talked me through the procedure. Even having a resident with her, she was so good at explaining and talking to me. She understood me. I appreciate them for getting me in and helping me.
Choosing Dr. Fowlkes has been life changing. We are grateful for him and the whole staff at LewisGale. This is a team that treats the whole person.
