I have been with Dr. Lewis for years. His is one of the best doctors I have had. Dr. Lewis and his staff are just wonderful. I highly recommend Dr. Lewis.
That doctor is the example of a careless man who got his degree too long ago. He spends the whole time looking at the screen of his computer and answering texts and calls. Does not talk with the patient if he can avoid it completely. No sympathy from him, he does not care to share his thoughts about your condition. He acts like he hates being there.
Very competent and recommended highly by other doctors and nurses. Don’t expect a good bedside manner. He is dry and not a “smiler”. No complaints regarding his treatment decisions or my reactions to it. Would definitely recommend.
Dr. Lewis is an over bearing jerk. He constantly harassed me about my weight because I was on stetiods so long. I saw him one day before work, after work I was in the ER for the same issue. Two months he tested me for inflammation in my body. He told me I didn't have fiber Malaga. That night I was in urgent care. The next day I was air lifted to Roanoke.I was bleeding internally in my lungs,and had fiber Malaga. And an auto immune disease ready to kill me.He is fresh! Loves my female family.
Horrible doctor!! Was assigned to my father at Delnor Hospital. The man doesn't bother to visit his patients. We were informed that he does make rounds in the hospital, but instead of visiting my father, he chose to meet with the nurse and then have her pass along information. No way to ask questions, no way get feedback. I realize that my father is a senior citizen, but his life still does matter to his family and loved ones. I'll bet Dr Lewis finds the time to bill Medicare!!!
Do NOT waste you health or time! I cannot encourage you enough to find a different doctor! he is supposed to be an infectious disease doctor and couldn't even properly diagnose! ended up finding a different infectious disease doctor, Who basically saved my life! Dr. Lewis ignored lab results, had no interest in anything I had to say, was condescending, and dismissed my questions without any answers. I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy. Office is outdated, not very clean. BE WARNED ??
Dr. Lewis is very monotone and does not have good bedside manner. Granted everyone else in his office was awesome and friendly, but he does not ask how you are doing. Sticks to the medical questions and Is just uncomfortable to talk to. I have never seen him smile, and I always disliked going to the appointments. Worst thing was that he is ALWAYS running late. One time I waited over an hour, it is ridiculous. My appointments take about 10 minutes max yet I end up waiting at least 30 minutes.
Dr. Lewis saved my life. If you are in need of an infectious disease specialist you've come to the right doctor. He's been recommended, and received high praise from, every doctor I've spoken to. I'm very happy with the services provided.
I went to Dr Steven Lewis because they claim to treat Lyme disease. However they do not. He was arrogant and dismissive and basically told me my positive test results were not accurate, then proceed to send me a bill for 495$ for doing nothing. Do not go there
