Nice person but very old school in how he practices. He still takes patient notes by hand, which is a bit archaic. He is always behind schedule resulting in long wait times. What really bothers me is that he will respond to text messages and emails on his phone while I am meeting with him! This is inappropriate!! His office assistant is pretty rough in her demeanor. I will now look for another Neurologist.
We went to see Dr. Levin for lingering cognitive issues from a concussion after multiple therapies. Dr. Levin decided in 30 minutes my husband may or may not be having an emotional response from a concussion He pointed and did not allow me to speak. He literally offered no help. It was so discouraging for my husband. I am most disappointed. WE came foe help and got done. What a disheartening experience. Dr. Levin does not appear to be in practice to listen and help patients.
he does not answer questions or respond to problems
Referred for post concussion syndrome and Dr Levin said there was multiple treatments we could try to help with sleep and headache issues. After 5 visits and a single medication he literally gave up... what happened to the multiple options? He also didnt seem to listen as his notes were full of errors and when corrected he never updated them so how could he possibly treat with bad notes? His staff was also absent minded often forgetting people were in the waiting room, not sending faxes etc
Spent months getting eval'd for post concussion. Apparently a post concussion eval does not include any visits w/a neurologist. Office staff said it's up to the patient to know & request MD appointment. Shocked to hear this & made an appointment - w/7 week wait, after formal dx. Referred to a Boston hospital for more testing. Wanted to talk about reasons for referral w/Dr. Levin. One week before appt. he had a secretary call to say he won't see me for sched appt. ARROGANT. GO ELSEWHERE.
He's all business and focused on the task at hand. Cold bedside manner but science based so I'm cool with it. Very thorough!
Extremely unhelpful, does not listen to patient concerns, bureaucracy gets in the way of even the simplest issues that ultimately threatens patient's wellbeing, he is also never in the office
Dr. Levin and his staff are fantastic. I was referred to Dr. Levin after being seen in the ER. I called the office and they were very kind and accommodating. I called on a Wednesday for an appointment and was seen that Friday. Dr. Levin had all my information and went over every detail with me. I was provided follow-up information and my next appointment being for the exact week out he recommended. Dr. Levin is extremely intelligent and it reflects in the care he provides. Highly recommend.
No chance what so ever. The rule of thumb was waiting an hour or more. The popular excuse was "there was an emergency." I was never allowed to talk about my condition. I simply had to answer his questions which demanded a yes or no answer. Symptoms are not black or white. They can be grey as well. If I could have changed to a different neurologist I would have.
