Misdiagnosed cancer after hemorrhage as diverticulitis said I was mistaken about symptoms. Said I had a crater in my colon after colonoscopy. It was a fistula with a tumor. Stay away if you value your life. Go to Hartford Healthcare. I would be dead if another Dr didn't I intervene.
Arter he diagnosed the problem he was excellent at the surgery and I was completely cured.
This man is a terrible Dr. Misdiagnosed stage 3 cancer after colonoscopy. Thank God my gynecologist knew after one look inside and sent me directly to Dr Cohen Hartford hospital who also knew after one look inside. Stay away from Leventhal if you want to live.

CVS contacted office 4 time to get my perscription filled. Office says they never got it. Happens all the time. Been going to Dr. Leventhal for over 20 years and practice has gone down hill. Staff doesn't seem to care anymore about the patient.
Was refered and saw Naugatuck Valley Gastroenterology Consultants, LLC (which includes Dr Leventhal) Spoke to a very nice PA, requested Domperidone as I have had success with it in the past. Emailed FDA application and was told next day that because of cardiac concerns that they (the entire practice)are refusing to fill out the application. I have good cardiac health and they are just being lazy, though this didn't stop them from trying to get me back into the office so they can collect more money from my insurance. Do Not Go To This Guy. This man should have his license taken away! Misdiagnosed my cancer said I had nothing wrong with me. Thank God I knew something was wrong and went to another Dr. for second opinion. Had to have radiation and chemo for a large tumor and stage 3 cancer.
mis diagnosed my stage 3 cancer, hemorrhaged had a hole in colon he said everything was fine! Thank God for my gynecologist and Hartford Hospital and Dr. Cohen. They are the ones who saved my life.
HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE office. Run away! This place is the bottom of the barrel for returning phone calls and/or customer service. My wife saw Leventhal and he prescribed her some medication. Approximately 2-3 days after starting the medication she had issues, and left a voicemail (on a Friday) at the office. She received NO call through Tuesday afternoon. She left another message on Wed morning with no call thru 4:00. I called and hit #2 as if I was a Dr & finally got someone. Find another doctor!!
