My husband suddenly developed memory problems, paranoia and more. After taking him to several doctors I was disappointed that they gave no help. On my own with the help of our children I searched to find answers on my own. I was able to schedule with Dr. Collins. Yes, we waited past our scheduled appt. but that tells me he is busy and also takes time with patients that need it. He spent a lot of time with us, some memory testing by nurse, change of med, and blood work. We also have appt. for more testing elsewhere. The minut... read more
Argued with us about my wife using a walker for her previous visit just 3 weeks prior. If he can't document someone going from walking to using a walker because of neurological issues. What else does he not document. Guess not being able to walk isn't neurological!
My first visit with Dr. Collins today. I was nervous because my previous neurologist was amazing but sadly retired and I didn't know how Dr. Collins would be. I must say that I am 100% on board with him. He was professional but very pleasant, down to earth, willing to listen, asked questions and didn't have one foot out of the door. I never felt rushed or belittled. Office staff very efficient and very little wait time. I very happy to have found Dr. Collins and will definitely recommend him.
Dr. Collins gave my mother answers she so desperately needed. He was straight forward but compassionate. We appreciated him so much.

He looked at me and said "Well...what kind of drug did you use?" I told him meth and he slammed my folder shut and put his phone away. He said "Well that's your problem. You fried your brain. That stuff kills your brain that's your problem." He stood up and pushed the computer away and turned and walked out. I was humiliated and horrified. My Mama w... read more
Went to see Collins. After ten minutes of verbal short tests, he declared that nothing was wrong with my memory. (But a year after going to see him, I can remember nothing. Even minute to minute. Let alone daily.) Then he said that I was depressed; I wasn't. Even though I told him I was not depressed, he proceeded to prescribe and anti-depressant... One that, after insurance, cost $125.00 co-pay per month. I would never accuse him of being in bed with big pharma........
Dr. Collins is truly one of the finest physicians I have ever known! He is caring yet thorough in his ability to diagnose and treat complex problems.
