She's lost patience for those who need true help.
I do not recommend this office or Dr. Leslie Ollar-Shoemake. I did not feel safe continuing care with her and ultimately felt I needed to transfer providers for my own well-being. I have a history of high-risk pregnancy, multiple miscarriages, preterm labor, and preeclampsia. During this pregnancy, I experienced vaginal bleeding throughout the first and second trimesters. I have been going to Dr. Ollar for over 24yrs and she is hands-down, the best doctor. After reading some of the negative reviews from other patients, it blows my mind because Dr. Ollar is a God-send when it comes to doctors. She's very patient, listens, addresses and and ALL of my concerns, she's very thorough in explaining things and I truly love her. She has helped me through some very difficult times, in addition to delivering my daughter 23yrs ago. My daughter now sees her and is just as happy with her as I am.
I had Dr. Anderson and her nurse practitioner Stacy all throughout growing up, they were amazing. However, once when I was pregnant I inherited Dr. Ollar and that's when my problems started. I developed preeclampsia during my pregnancy that went unrecognized even though I was showing the warning signs. I ended up with severe complications after I was sent home with my daughter, including fluid in my lungs that went unnoticed so long and caused me to be hospitalized again. I was her patient for several years without ever having met her. I only saw her nurse for check ups, iud insertion, iud removal, etc. When I suspected that I was pregnant and scheduled an appointment for testing and an ultrasound, I was told I would not be seen unless I signed a contract and started making nonrefundable payments for her to be my OB.
