I just had my 6 week checkup after total hip replacement surgery and I wanted to take a minute to thank Dr. Leone, Susan, and all the staff. Their professional and caring touch, combined with my own committed rehab, now allows me to bike, swim, and walk real distances (all of which I could not do before). And, as of this week, I am golfing as well. What an excellent team! Happy to be back on my way to living my active life.
5 stars are not enough! Just short of four years after my hip replacement, I am still grateful every day to Dr. Leone and his highly skilled team. I have, post surgery, been able to get back to my active life, including my passion. hiking (like on the Inca Trail, no easy task!, among other trails), and exercise of choice - walking my two to five miles almost every day. Not to mention living every day PAIN-FREE. Thank you for a wonderful result that gave me back my life. I am a very appreciative patient.
Dr Leone is a highly skilled and respected surgeon. I would not hesitate to contact him if you're having hip or knee issues. His staff is top notch as well. It's all about finding the right surgeon and never looking back.
Dr. Leone really takes the time to listen to you instead of just looking at a chart or a scan. He is caring and sensitive to your feelings. He does a thorough exam to learn what would be the best course of action. I'm so glad I chose the surgeon, not the treatment because the right surgeon will find the treatment that is best for you. I had both hips and left knee replaced a little more than three years ago; Dr. Leone and his team were fantastic in every regard during this grueling process. His recommendations regarding rehab were excellent and followed meticulously. Since then, I've done mountain hiking in New Zealand twice, both times over 25 miles at the pace of 8-10 miles per day with no side effects. i'm still doing two mile power walks (with heavy hands for upper body exercise) 3-4 times a week to keep all of the joints working well. My friend Terry McEnaney had a hip replacement by Dr, Leone and another Dr. has already said it is defective. He refuses to answer Terry's calls so he will answer everything in court this year. Don't go to this doctor!
I scheduled my surgery with Dr. Leone for February 25, 2015. I have interviewed 3 other surgeons. Dr. Leone and his staff are a cut above the rest!
