RecommendedI went to St. Charles Parish Hospital today to receive my first chemo infusion. Unfortunately, what I expected to be an uneventful experience turned out to be quite scary. The infusion nurses Macrae and Orie were wonderful in helping to treat the hypersensitive reaction I had to the medication. They quickly stopped the medication, began treating me with benadryl, called additional personnel (doctors and respiratory therapists among others), and got my reaction under control. RecommendedEveryone i dealt with was friendly and knowledgeable. My wait was very minimal, and my surgeon, Dr. Celestre, was very nice, friendly, and explained my options thoroughly. I would highly recommend this facility.
