I had Mohs surgery performed by Dr. Dzubow and had a very unpleasant experience and am still having issues for quite some time after the procedure. Based on my experience, I would recommend finding another Mohs surgeon.
I had Mohs surgery done on my upper lip and all I could say is I had a very bad and concerning experience. I would Not recommend Dr. Dzubow and would find another qualified Mohs surgeon.
He is one of the finest doctors I have ever experienced. Not only is he an expert in his field , but is also kind, caring, patient and very considerate I had a difficult procedure and he made it as comfortable as possible I also highly recommend his assistant Judy who was also very kind and helpful. Dr Dzubow is a very knowledgeable and competent physician. He explains all options well and I recommend him without hesitation. The procedures he has put in place for Covid are good but could be improved. The waiting room is small and does not have ventilation. The hallways are narrow and it was difficult to social distance from the many staff as being led to exam room. The wait was over an hour which was difficult when you have to sit in your car. Dr. Dzubow is a wonderful doctor. I have had three visits with him over the last 10 years, each for separate procedures. He is kind, listens and always gets the job done. His staff is also attentive and top notch. When you leave his office you know that the cancer you had when you came with is nonexistent when you leave. It may take and hour to one and a half hours between each time the tissue is removed until you know if it is all gone, but it is well worth the wait for the end results.
Dr. Dzubow explained the complexity of Mohs surgery in a manner that was very easy for me to understand. His initial consult quickly relieved my anxiety with the diagnosis and subsequent treatment. I had never met Dr. Dzubow prior to my appointment and left feeling very confident with his medical knowledge and expertise.
I was dissatisfied with another Mohs surgeon as I felt that he did not talk to me at all about the biopsy report or procedure. I traveled 35 miles to see Dr. Dzubow, as he came highly recommended and I was very pleased and glad I did so. He thoroughly explained to me about the biopsy report and the procedure. He thought he would be able to cut one piece and it would be fine and it was. I highly recommend him. This was on my nose and I needed an experienced good surgeon and he was!
