There are no A or B signs directing people by the elevators like the Pattison Pavillion. How are we to know we are in the A & B section or the C and D section. Be clear please. Also, the elevators have been out of order way too long. This is beyond unacceptable considering the volume of staff, visitors and patients who rely on working and operational elevators daily. The floors seem clean and tidy and the two elevators that do work have a touch screen that describe the floor you seek.

Social work dept handles patients families as if they do not exist. They do not return calls and do not connect with families. The essence of their jobs. Perhaps they need a refresher in the Virginia Satir model of meeting with families, returning calls to be effective in understanding the hospital patients and in providing empathic care. Huge disappointment in services.

Five stars to the staff and nursing team. One star to whoever is in charge of the elevators. Three of the four elevators are currently out of service. Two of them have been boarded up for God knows how long with no sign of impending repair. This forces everyone (after up to 10-15 minute waits) into one severely crowded elevator. Not good conditions for immune-compromised cancer patients, especially now that masking rules have been relaxed. I recently stayed on the 7th floor of Blackmore Pavilion for over a month. During my stay I received premium care from doctors, pain management, nurses, aids OT and therapists. They even managed to fix me up so that I was able to be discharged and spent Christmas with my family. I am forever grateful for what the staff on the 7th floor had done for me. Thank you.
