Absolutely wonderful. The wonderful woman who greets the public, as well as the woman who helped me with my documents to renew my license. With all the requirements now, it's quite a chore to get what you need, but the people at this office are knowledgeable, helpful, caring, kind, patient, and very professional. I'm thankful beyond measure.
I had a truly frustrating experience today at the Leon County Tax Collector’s Office. I made an appointment weeks ago for 4:45 PM to get a Real ID and renew my tag. I arrived before 4:30 PM, checked in, and waited over 30 minutes while more than 10 people who walked in after me were called ahead of me. By the time I was finally called—at 4:58 PM—only two people were left in the entire waiting area, including myself. Give Jaylin a raise! I went in without an appointment to update my name and address on my license, and he was so helpful. Even cracked a few jokes. I had to leave and get another document to finalize everything and he was gracious enough to hold my place in line. The whole process was under an hour. No complaints at all! Thought I’d write a review especially because the dmv doesn’t have the best reputation for good experiences.
If you’re expecting to walk in because it says walk ins by availability only rethink that. I went to every collectors office inside Leon county twice in one day at different times in the day. Their excuses were limited to sorry staff is at lunch or we are short staffed. It’s not even lunch time and they have staff at lunch. You will go back a second time thinking okay maybe not at lunch now. You’ll get hit with we are short staffed. I’m confused…. Which is it. Short staffed or they are at lunch.
