One of the biggest mistakes I've made in years is buying a Lennar home. Their sales lied about appliances and upgrades and HOA. We didn't learn about the lies until late in the process, when it was too late to walk away. We were very frustrated. The mortgage team used some underwriting protocols that were extremely unusual. 60+ days late closing. Poor communication ongoing. No house keys or mailbox keys 3 weeks after closing. Would not buy Lennar if I could do over again. No one knows who has the keys - constant chaos on most fronts. Beware!

This company is unethical and shady. Not only are the homes they build shoddy and sub par quality. But they treat their employees like garbage. They worked their salaried construction managers 60+ hours a week with no additional compensation aside from promising a bonus. They didn’t meet their year end numbers even after closing homes that are not finished and forcing 18 hour days. So to make up the numbers, they laid off several employees the week before Christmas.
