We looked at a home in The Colony on August 4th, on August 6th submitted everything that was asked for including earnest money, we were told we would close on the 25th of August. Then the underwriters wanted more and more. They then asked for $7,000 more than twenty percent down to cover a debt I had more tripled the monthly payment to pay off in six months. Completely disappointed. Two of my friends have bought a house at the Colony and all I can say is not worth it. My friend recently closed on a home and it was dirty, lots of stuff not fixed and random things left throughout the house by vendors. Wonder is the builders even inspect the house before releasing keys. Door was unlocked when we got there. We were also promised railings on the front porch, but apparently they can’t now. Came on Monday at 2:55 pm , the model home is closed. Rang the doorbell - nothing. No note on the door either. Called the number given on their Google page, the machine said Due to the high volume calls .. etc etc Couldn’t talk to a real person. Strange sales approach.
