We showed up to pick up our keys for our new home and no one was in the unlocked office. We waited an hour after a long drive from Arizona. We were finally given our keys. We have heard nothing from the sales office or the HOA. We have lived here for 3 weeks. We asked a new neighbor how to access the pool and the gym. We will have to wait until Monday to find out. I raised this up one star because the office did try to help.
The saying “You get what you pay for” is about as spot-on as it gets when it comes to Lennar, so it’s no wonder why they are the least expensive builder in the DFW market. Very difficult to work with, lacks communication, and hidden fees that somehow appear after repeated promises by sales reps that there wouldn’t be. My advice, if your only choices were to either buy a Lennar home or live under a bridge, I suggest you get a high quality sleeping bag and cardboard box..
I regret moving here for many reasons such as, nothing near by and I mean nothing, terrible traffic, bad roads, no schools close, no gas station, zip, zero, nothing but ultimately it was my choice. I wish I had read and researched this area more. In less than a year we have lost 70k in equity since Lennar and the other builders pulled the rug on home prices. This will be a rental ghetto in 10 years. The thing that gets me is the kids “park” that is four times smaller than the damn dog park. What?! Lol
Every day I come home, I regret buying a house here. The property taxes are unbelievably high, and the so-called “improvements” they’re supposed to fund are things most of us will probably never see in our lifetime. There’s nothing around. I originally thought we were close enough to nearby areas, but living this far from everything really sucks—no gas stations, no convenience stores, no parks. Nothing.
