Had a cyst on my thyroid being monitored, was told to come back in January. Called and was told she is no longer taking thyroid patients. Very poor communication skills!

My son is a college student in Deland and has had difficulty scheduling a follow-up appointment in the time-table set by Dr. Hanson's practice. He changed his travel plans for coming home for Christmas and called to reschedule his appointment from Dec. 16 to Mar. 5, the next available when he would be home from college but still within a year of his last visit. He will run out of medicine at the end of December, however, and Dr. Hanson offered him a "courtesy" refill of 30 days, knowing full well that this would not get him ... read more
Dr. Hanson is the epitome of professionalism. The office is very well managed and extremely well staffed with experienced associates.
Although this doctor might be good if your going there for your Diabetes, but from my experience, you can find a more suitable doctor if you looking for a thyroid specialist. I was having some throat issues and happened to be at my PCP for an unrelated follow up and my PCP scheduled an ultrasound for me. Had the ultrasound and the results suggested I have a biopsy done. Scheduled to follow up with this doctor on 9/12/19 and when I got there, the ARNP walked in and didn't know why I was there, didn't know I had just had labs ... read more
Would give a zero if I could. My first visit she came in, stood across the room and said I can't get near you cuz I'm sick today. Had her assistant ask any questions then said, "I would feel your thyroid if I could, but again, I don't want to get near you because I'm sick." Second visit after sitting in the room for over an hour seems they didn't have my lab results and that was the purpose of the appointment. She came in said "we don't have your results" , went back out and that was it! She never once touched me, never chec... read more
SHE HAS BEEN MY DOCTOR FOR SOME TIME. GOOD DOCTOR AND GOOD OFFICE STAFF
Terrible customer service. Doesn't promptly return phone calls. Impossible to get prescriptions renewed. Nurse took five days to return my call. Either overworked or just totally inept.
HAve had Dr. Hanson for numerous years. WOuld recommend her.
