My family adopted a very sweet and lovable dog and the LHS couldn't have made it any easier to add this wonderful addition to our family.

Animals come first. Sometimes the general public sees this as rude behavior or poor management from the workers. What they don’t understand is they are catering to the animals not the general public. Policies are in place to protect the animals not the hoards of people that want to make themselves feel good not thinking of what’s best for the animals. I applaud their efforts. Worthwhile charity for sure.

I volunteered here last summer with my son. I would just like to say that I witnessed nothing but love and compassion at this shelter! The workers/volunteers poured their hearts into every animal here. They spent LONG hours making sure the animals had everything they needed. It was truly inspiring to help be apart of that. Unfortunately my son and I don’t get much time to volunteer now that school is Back in session but we will be back when summer starts again. Been 9 years since I adopted my kitten now cat from here. She is till wonderful, and in great health. Best thing I ever did was adopt a cat. Now I have three...all rescue cats. :)
