RecommendedTook a trip to Engel’s Jewelry store today to drop off a ring needing fixing. Got there as he was out to lunch. SOOO.. we walked across the tracks to Lena Mercantile Co. for lunch and antiquing. Oh my, I have found a new lunch spot!! Had a beef dill sandwich on the freshest marble rye bread. Jon had a cup of Italian Wedding soup and a steak sandwich. Dessert was raspberry cheesecake! Loved the atmosphere in the dining room. Open 11 to 2 6 days a week. Then hit the thrift shop. Wonderful shop & great food in their restaurant
We were driving up to Northern Illinois and stopped in Lena, Illinois and asked at the florist shop for a nice place to eat. They recommended we eat at the Lena Mercantile company. We had a great time and the food was GREAT. Afterwards I picked up a couple of bowls in the store up in front of the store. The cashier told me the story of the "Blue Willow" soup bowls, which made my purchase that much more special. Great friendly people, food, and shopping!
What a fun place to eat, grab a coffee, & shop for unique items & antiques. We look forward to the next time when we are in the area.

Always a great place to meet up with friends for a delicious lunch or dessert and coffee. Then I like to stroll through their shop, fun! I always find something to bring home even if it is just a chocolate or caramel! Mmmmm
