A standard place to crash when in Santa Barbara for other reasons than to stay at your hotel. Our room was comfortable but beat up- scratches and chipped paint on the walls, dated bathroom with dents in the door. We did not dip in the pool which looked nice and well kept- definitely people hung out there during the day. The road facing rooms (we stayed in one) kind of suck because of the street noise and lack of interesting view so if you can I would request an interior facing room. The staff at the front desk is very grumpy and the bathroom in our room had a smell of sitting water.
The Crocodile had amazing food and service!
- Malfunctioning tv/cable - Malfunctioning phone - Malfunctioning AC - No desk chair - No top sheet - Malfunctioning bathroom light - Malfunctioning exterior lighting (bird friendly?) which failed to light the sidewalks and parking lot. Magically it appeared two hours later. Where’s the oversight? And what made it even more special is that we paid a highly inflated rate due to move-in weekend at UCSB
