This is a response to K.F.'s review of our family business, Lemay Plumbing. We did indeed perform work at K.F.'s home. Our licensed journeyman plumber was dispatched to K.F.'s home, assessed the work that K.F. wanted performed, presented the price to K.F., and received written authorization for the work to be performed for the price proposed. COMPLETELY OVERPRICED! We had Lemay Plumbing change out a single-hole kitchen faucet (provided by us), snake bathroom vanity drains (which plumber told us really were not clogged) and change a toilet flapper in the tank. They were here for 1hr 20 mins and charged us $458. RIDICULOUS! I have been calling other plumbing companies all afternoon and they charge $125-145 per hour, which would make our simple job in the $203-$253 price range. When I could not get the water in the toilet to stop running, I knew it was time to call a plumber. Lemay Plumbing was the first company I thought of, because of the ads in our church bulletin. I called and talked to a very nice lady, who was most helpful. Within an hour a plumber was at my door and was finished in half an hour. Unethical & Over-priced – I setup the appointment while my wife was at home and not knowing any better they took advantage of her by over charging! Completely unethical. They unclogged 2 drains were there for a total of 75min and charged $200!!!!!! That is $160 per hour!!!!! These guys are shady DO NOT CALL! ! ! ! !
