Don't waste your time or your money at Lelli's. – The service was horrid, the filets should not have been cold and the wine should not have been warm. In fact, our server, Jason, offered to chill the wine for us. Unfortunately, our cold steaks arrived six minutes later poor planning and poor service. I was shocked that when they brought the check, they had charged us for the wine. After spending $42 each for 3 filet mignons (served cold) and $62 for a bottle of warm wine, the manager wouldn't even come and talk to us. Instea... read more

Best Filet Known to Man – I was first introduced to Lellis in 1998 when it was located in Detroit. A fire destroyed that location in 2000. Now located in Auburn Hills, the BEST filets are served. We eat here on special occasions and bring our out of town guest and encourage them to try the filet. From what I hear, the other food is just as wonderful, but the filet is to die for. You barely need a knife to cut it and the zip sauce is amazing!!! Be sure to go in on an empty stomach, because it is a 5 course dinner meal. I reco... read more

One of my favorites – Lelli's is one of my very favorite restaurants in Detroit. Although I have heard horror stories about poor service, I have never had bad service there (once I had to wait a few minutes for my bread and water), and it's usually excellent. The minestrone is the best soup I've ever had in my life. The entrees, though expensive, come with an antipasto tray, soup, salad, pasta, and dessert. The shrimp Lelli is spectacular, and the steaks are to die for. Stay away during the holidays (all the horror stories s... read more

Mostly average – This is a very popular lunch spot due to its proximity to DaimlerChrysler. However, unless you live in the area (or are entertaining the aforementioned on a limited time schedule), there are considerably better valued restaurants in Rochester, Troy, even Pontiac. People that "crave" their steaks or Italian have obviously never cooked their own nor had relatives that shared their recipes.

Poor Management – We made reservations for 7:15. When we arrived were told it would be half an hour despite the fact that we had reservations. We were seated 2 hours after our reservation time. The staff was overwhelmed so service suffered. The valet (which is the only parking option) was also overwhelmed and threw all the keys in a pile. We got our keys and got our own car and saw a couple whose keys and car were missing and were told they would put their name on a list. Good food, BAD management!

Lelli's ..Top Choice – Lelli's has been my favorite place to diner on very special occasions only. I first was introduced to this restruant 36 years ago when their place was on Woodward and East Grand Blvd. I have celebrated many birthdays there. Seeings my birthday is in December and only on two birthdays had to be cancelled because of snow. Since the fire has destroyed the restruant I have only dined twice in the new location. Just not enough time to get over there.I live closer, just no time.

No steak knife required – My family has been eating at Lelli's for over 45 years... they have the best filet ever!!! We bring all our out of town guests here and they leave Lelli's with the same story... never ate a better steak. Wonderful italian atmosphere. If you're ever in or near Auburn Hills, MI ... make sure you visit Lelli's!!!

All Around Perfect – I have tried to top Lelli's cuisine since I first tried it 12 years ago and in all of my travels I haven't been able to find better quality, selection, or value. The only thing missing is downtown location and oysters.

Great Food Bad Management – I thought Lelli's Restaurant served me the best steak I have ever had from a restaurant. The zip sauce was great and the steak was cooked perfectly. The only real problem I saw with the place was that the owner should take a few lessons on how to run a more expensive restaurant. I thought he was rude and should deal more with his customers than sitting watching a tv that he had put in the bar. Luckily our waiter did a great job and handled our special requests (something the owner should try to do... read more
