The Best! Uncle Marvin is simply the best, take your pets over there and you will see, the rate is very reasonable, Dr. Leighton is a very very nice person, caring and professional. He doesn't run some unnecessary tests on your pet and always has great/natural way to fix the pets problems. I moved away from OKC, but I still take my baby to Dr. Leighton, it is worthy of the drive.
How did we ever live without them??? Dr. Leighton and his staff are simply amazing. He is a very old school, no BS kind of doctor, and I LOVE that. He doesn't make you feel like an idiot, he doesn't put your pets through unnecessary "tests and procedures" to rack up your bill, he doesn't push ridiculous low quality foods off as a miracle cure to get more of your money (everyone should read up on the Science Diet scams, if you haven't already), and he will flat out TELL you when something is unnecessary. Never a fret! I myself, and several of my family members, have used Dr. Leighton for years and it is absolutely true that he does good work, for great prices! He doesn't rip you off, they've let my sister pay off her pets medical bills and every time I've been there they have been professional and clean! Not like a lot of places in the city where there is pee on the floor for a week! Such a wonderful Doctor!! I have taken my animals to Dr. Leighton for years. I have never had one iota of a problem. He could have ran up vet bills and such like all the others do, but he doesn't. I am sorry for the person who lost their dog, but maybe if you had taken him earlier something could have been done. A human nor a dog gets diabetes overnight. Any infection left too long or unattended could cause death. Everyone at Leighton is great to work with and wonderful to my animals. thank you so much.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE We have taken our dogs here before for shots. We took our dog here the other day because she wasn't eating. She is now dead. Friday we took her in because she was not eating and was drinking a lot of water. Dr. Leighton said she had diabetes and has an infection. He said he'd like to keep her over night to run a blood test to see what it was. Awesome It's difficult to express my admiration for Dr. Leighton. He has cared for my animals since I moved here in the early 80's and I too dread the day he retires. He is the best no-nonsense vet I've ever had. He tells you what's best for the animal and keeps it as simple as possible. The kind of trust he inspires is hard to find these days and I treasure it.
My Husband was also a Vet Dr Leighton was a friend of my late husband Dr. Perry Freeman, also a D.V.M.Perry thought the world of Dr. Leighton. He worked with him so he KNEW Him! Doc Leighton is the best vet I have known Doc Leighton is one of the last of the "good guys" in veterinary medicine. His love of animals is apparent in the way he treats both the animals and owners. Money is not the driving force behind his practice. He will consult and help owners and animals to achieve the best outcomes for all concerned. The Best Vet Ever! I've been taking my animals to Doc Leighton since 1992. He is a true credit to his profession and a nice person to boot! I am dreading the day he retires, because I just don't know how I'll ever find another vet that I can trust to take such good care of my animals. I recommend him to anyone who needs good, quality care for their pets without the worry of having your wallet raided.
