My experience has been extremely negative, and I would not recommend this
Needs improvement legal aid should be available right when an Ontario resident needs it.
To change LAO lawyer, you write to their complaints dep't and get assigned a complaint officer. Know that if you at anytime complain about complaints officer to LAO which you can to same email you put in request for the change of lawyer, LAO will do absolutely nothing with your person complaint. Complaint officer at least mine last name rhymes with bar, she not update me like she said she would nor did she send off my material/evidence timely and her irresponsible behaviour led me to have to contact the Ontario Ombudsman the... read more
If I could rate zero stars, I would. When I called to inquire about a family member's lawyer, the receptionist treated me disrespectfully throughout the entire call, yelled at me, and provided no assistance.
