Made reservations almost 2 months ago. Showed up today for our reservation and it’s closed indefinitely no notice given to people that had reservations. Number they give to contact just disconnects when you call it. Now we’re stranded in brigantine trying to find a place to stay

After many, many years of it's hosting people through time. I heard this historic Building has closed its doors. I am not certain regarding this information. But, I for one, certainly would love to see it refurbished. It has always given me that "Gothic City" Vibe, like from one of the animated Batman series.

Building is well overdue for and in desperate need of upgrades and general maintenance, however the place was clean and staff were friendly. Location right on the beach with an outdoor bar/restaurant adjacent to the building is great, especially with the live music at night. Both hotel elevators broke during our stay and there was poor signage and communication on the outage and/or status of repair. Unfortunately this led to the place closing abruptly and everyone needed to find other places to stay or end their vacation ear... read more

This place is horrible, horrible, horrible… It is old as the hills and the elevators were not working, so everyone had to take the stairs with their luggage and children as they were going to and from the beach. There was a mixup the first week in July as code violations, shut the hotel down, and then it was shut down again On August 14, due to the nonworking elevators… People were coming in and They weren’t even provided with a notice of cancellation before they arrived… This place needs to be closed down completely overhau... read more

Just read that the hotel is closed. Apparently the fire dept found safety issues- maybe the broken elevator.
