I chose this hotel because the reviews were pretty good, 4 stars on Google with 550+ reviews. I booked the “Guest Room” for three nights. First impressions were… interesting. The road on the way up to the hotel is COVERED in potholes. Very difficult to avoid. The view from the hotel parking lot is pretty! And it is close to town and a couple chain food spots nearby. The hotel is a financial scam, I booked a night for 300$ then, when I arrived they hit me with another 120$ on top of the fees already paid, with the same name. This is a scam, this alone ensured I will never go back and I will mention these terrible thieves to anyone that asks where to stay in steamboat. The hotel does not have a single accommodation for folks with disabilities or mobility limitations. This place is old and run down. Needs a complete renovation. The mattress was so bad it was as if I were sleeping on the floor
