I brought my truck into legacy Toyota for its routine 40,000-mile maintenance. During the multi-point inspection, the dealership's own technician identified a failing axle seal. However, despite the vehicle being well within the 60,000-mile powertrain warranty, the service department is now refusing to honor the repair. Update : 8/6/25 They ended up reaching out to me. They sent out someone to my job to pick up and drop off my vehicle so the service could be completed and offered me a rental. Overall everyone was very nice, accommodating and helpful. I had an appointment for a regular maintenance and a software recall at 9:30am. Four hours later they were still not done with the maintenance or even started the recall. I had to leave after 4 1/2 hours without the recall being done.
