I really think most of the negative reviews are unfair. I rented from Legacy for a couple years and moved out. I DIDN’T get my whole deposit back. At first I was annoyed and went and talked to Alex and Shelby. They showed me pictures and we went through the bills. They were justified in what they took out. Ok so before you give my review a thumbs down and a clown emoji, please keep in mind that everyone have different experiences with Legacy. I am only sharing mine. I have been a tenant for almost a year. When I needed a place to call home, Alex with Legacy was there to help me find the right place. He and the nice lady at the front desk (I am sorry I cannot remember her name) were able to show me some options that fit my needs. I am not sure what the negative comments are about. I LOVE this company. They are respectful and anytime I have needed maintenance they are on it immediately. They are by far the best company I have rented from in Cheyenne. Both my sister and cousin have also rented from Legacy and both of them got almost every bit of their deposit back. Makes me think you didn’t leave the rentals as good as you think you did!! Don’t hesitate to rent from these guys and I would ignore all the haters and keyboard warriors!
Renters, proceed with caution. My experience with this company’s handling of security deposits raised serious concerns. Despite leaving the property in good condition, they attempted to withhold our entire deposit and charge several hundred dollars beyond that. Only gets the star because I have to in order to give a review. Don't rent here. Crazy how every single reviewer has experienced getting scammed out of their security deposit + more. Charged for their choice to repaint the entire house, pre existing damage, and damage caused by their repair teams. Not to mention, we were without heat for an entire Cheyenne winter due to their failure to effectively fix the heater and continued to pay full rent. Plus just save yourself the hassle of dealing with their attitudes.
