Same thing. I wfas transfered over from good Sam imaging for earlier appointment and was told I needed separate referral for new appointment. Set appointment to have it on books while tried to get new updated Referral' from my clinic. Old Towne clinic seems to have no real world, real tine concept of patient scheduling load of refered specialist appointments. Still waiting for updated REFERAL' on morning of new APPOINTMENT!!!!!! ’

I had multiple encounters with the imaging department, while I was in Emanuel’s care for 21 days. I had multiple X-ray, two CT’s and two mri’s. Only once did I encounter the rudest, unhelpful, unsympathetic tech (Heather). Her and her colleague got their asses handed to them, because I refused to be treated so poorly and also lied too, when I was in such extreme pain. Don't bother...asking questions to clarify what needs to be done is a major inconvenience for the scheduling department for an MRI. Horrible encounter with a very angry individual today just made me go elsewhere.

Called multiple times to schedule. Was not able to schedule until my insurance authorized the imaging. Was told multiple times that as soon as the auth came through, someone would call me. Got a letter from my insurance and it had been approved for three weeks and no one from the scheduling department called me. Don't promise a level of service that you're not going to deliver. Just tell patients to call back once a week and let them know it's ok to call back because your systems are so opaque that you're never going to know... read more

Disclosure I am an employee and a patient. I have been on medical leave for severe trauma for more than six months and had many diagnostic procedures here. Injury or illness, you are not at your best. Things are at their highest stress, you may be scared, confused, frustrated, in pain and exhausted. It seriously sucks to be a patient.
